Molafos pasture supplement is a highly palatable liquid feed designed to assist sheep by stimulating rumen activity and supplementing their nutrient requirements when grazing cereal stubble and pasture. It contains a balanced source of protein, energy, vitamins and minerals
Molafos '12' and '15' offer practical and efficient methods of supplementing stock grazing pasture, stubble or crop. Both products at 12 and 15 % protein respectively, reduce animal performance losses through seasonal nutritional fluctuations. As stubble and pasture decrease in quality and quantity there is a resultant decrease in nutrient available to the grazing animal. The digestive system of the sheep slows down, the animal is unable to digest the available feed as efficiently, and subsequently is less inclined to graze out. As the population of rumen bacteria begins to decrease, intake decreases to a level in which live-weight loss is incurred.
Molafos has delivered positive results to growers who have reported higher conception rates, better weight gains and improvements in wool quality.
Molafos pasture supplements can be fed in open troughs or in feeders designed by Champion Liquid Feeds.
Feedlotting and production feeding of lambs has become more frequent over the past few years. It has been quite profitable in clearing stock from properties at opportune times to meet target weights for export or for domestic markets. Champion liquid feeds can provide expert advice and products to help producers acclimatise lambs to new types of feeding regimes eg. from paddock grazing to rations in feed troughs; and to acclimatise the digestive system of lambs to cope with high starch diets from the usual high roughage diets. Molafos liquid feed concentrates contain vitamins and minerals to balance nutritional requirements and to reduce the likelihood of nutritional disorders.
Molafos liquid concentrates also contain controlled levels of non-protein nitrogen (NPN) to make up shortfalls in the ration. The addition of Molafos will also reduce the amount of sifting and improve the palatability of rations.
